What to Expect
A cooking class in Lima is the ultimate way to roll up your sleeves and connect with Peru. This 3-hour culinary and cultural adventure starts with the country’s coastal region, introducing cebiche's more delicate cousin, the tiradito. Elegant and complex, the dish allows you to meet star ingredients that you’ll now be able to identify during the rest of your Peru trip. Where the coast meets the Andes, we find our next dish, the causa. While its birthplace is Lima, the causa wouldn’t be possible without the potatoes hailing from the hills. Our third course continues down the timeline to an era of fusion and multiculturalism with the arrival of Italian immigrants and their influence on Peruvian cuisine. We promise you’ll be serving up a fettucini like no other that will certainly impress friends and family at home when you show off your new recipes. No foodie journey would be complete without a sweet note to bring it all together, so we’ll wrap up with dessert to leave you dreaming of your next Peru trip. During the cooking class, you’ll also enjoy a wine pairing that features three gems from one of Peru’s most exciting and exclusive vineyards. During the experience, you’ll be accompanied by a professional chef as well as a member of our Lima Gourmet team.
